Dedalo Minosse International Prize

On 16th December the Dedalo Minosse exhibition opens, near Moscow, in "Museum", club house Pirogovo. The location of the exhibit is the opera of Totan Kuzembaev, who participated to the 7th editinon of Dedalo Minosse International Prize. Totan Kuzembaev's client is one of the four who received a recommendation from the Chamber of Commerce of the Vicenza's Province.

Koge Kyst Competition

UIA President Louise Cox reveals 'scary' perception about architects' role

Talking from the hubbub of the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen, UIA President Louise Cox revealed the 'scary' perception that the average person on the street has presented to her about architects at the conference.

Climate conference: EU will not undersell the climate in Copenhagen from 7-18 December 2009.

The proposals that are now on the table do not deliver enough to keep the temperature rise to less than two degrees. This was the EU’s comment during Saturday’s plenary discussion. During the sixth day of negotiations, the countries commented on yesterday’s text proposals.

Conference "Person, Epoch, Style"

The Research Institute of the Theory of Architecture and Town Planning invites you to take part in the International Scientific Conference dedicated to general history of architecture "Person, Epoch, Style" which will take place in Moscow this autumn. During Pancake week the 6th Festival “Goroda” (“Cities”) was celebrated in Jaroslavl as “Jar-Gorod” festival. The Gubernatorial garden in the centre of the city was decorated with 20 constructions created by young architects from Moscow, St.Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazakhstan.

New President of the Architects' Council of Europe for 2010-2011 takes up office

Brussels, 7th January 2010: Selma Harrington from Ireland was elected President of the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE) for the period 2010-2011 during the Second General Assembly of the ACE at the end of 2009 and she took up office on the 1st January 2010 for a two year period. She will Chair the First Executive Board meeting in 2010 on the 22nd and 23rd January at which the work priorities for the year will be decided together with the roles and responsibilities of Board members.

La Biennale di venezia: Kazuyo Sejima as Director of the 12th International Architecture Exhibition in 2010

The Board of Directors of the Biennale di Venezia, chaired by Paolo Baratta, met today and appointed Kazuyo Sejima as Director of the Architecture Sector, with specific responsibility for curating the 12th International Architecture Exhibition to be held in Venice in the Giardini and Arsenale between 29th August and 21st November 2010 (vernissage on 26th , 27th and 28th August).
