SunGuard PVGU will help architects and building owners who are looking for solutions to achieve
net-zero buildings. The product lets in diffused light, increases energy efficiency and generates electricity from the building façade, helping projects achieve new “green” energy codes.
Additionally, BIPV projects may be eligible to earn substantial federal tax credits.
 
How it works:
PVGU harvests solar energy while providing low SHGC with a system of optics and photovoltaic
cells adhered to surface #2 of an insulated glass unit. Sunlight is directed to PV cells that lie perpendicular to the glass panes. Ambient light and views to the outdoors are transmitted inside.
