GeoBIM Europe 2014 is a high level discussion forum for interchange of ideas between BIM, geospatial community and the construction stakeholders, including policy makers, government and public sector, infrastructure developers, construction companies/ EPC contractors, engineering companies, consultants, financial institutions and banks, project executing agencies, IT solutions providers and academic and research bodies across Europe.

Rijkswaterstaat, the government department responsible for the construction of roads, bridges, tunnels and other infrastructure in The Netherlands, has agreed to be Government Partner of GeoBIM Europe 2014.
 
Rijkswaterstaat has been working with BIM since 2012 in various construction projects in Netherlands. They have been appointed as the national coordinating agency for BIM policy development in the country and actively representing Netherlands in the European BIM Group. Rijkswaterstaat works with wide-range of construction stakeholders network locally and regionally.
 
"The use of open BIM-standards during construction and in the life-cycle of our infrastructure is our goal. Geo-information and infrastructural information has to be connected. In this conference both European and national policies are combined on this subject", said Herman Winkels, Program Manager BIM at Rijkswaterstaat.
