An exhibition of the shortlisted finalists for an international competition to create a new landmark for Aldgate and entrance to the City of London.

Collecting inspiring and innovative designs for a temporary and flexible structure that will launch in 2012 - the 250th anniversary of the destruction of the original City gates - and stand for the duration of London Olympic and Paralympic Games, as the results of a competition run by The Architecture Foundation, and sponsored by the City Property Advisory Team of the City Corporation.

Entries were judged anonymously by a panel including Alderman Mike Bear, City of London; Achim Borchardt Hume, Chief Curator, Whitechapel Gallery; Roger France, Master of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects; Sarah Ichioka, Director, The Architecture Foundation; and Peter Murray, Chairman, New London Architecture.
