Blue Award for sustainable architecture

 

The Departement for Spatial and Sustainable Design of the Vienna University of Technology in Austria, announces the launch of the second edition of the ‘Blue Award’.

This biennial international competition, open to students of architecture, regional planning and urbanism highlights future-oriented sustainable solutions in the three following categories:
• Urban and landscape development and transformation 
• EcologicalBuilding 
• Building in existing structures

The competition is organised with the support of the International Union of Architects.
 
Jury
The jury will be placed under Sir Michael Hopkins Honnorary Presidency and composed of: AlbertDubler, UIA Vice-President, Dominique Gauzin-Müller, Rudolf Scheuvens, Dominique Alba, Nikos Fintikakis, Director of the UIA ARES Work Programme ; 
Moderation of the Jury, Dr. Robert Korab.
 
The total prize fund of 20 000 euros will be shared by the winners selected by the jury amongst the three categories.
 
Timetable
 
Registration opens: 31 May 2011
Period for transmission of entries: 1st October 2011 - 1st February 2012
Publication of the results: 26 April 2012
